Concrete Volcano Candlesticks by Connor Holland

Volcano Candlesticks
February 2016

Created from dyed cast concrete, with an embedded copper tube for holding a standard sized candle. The form provides a low centre of gravity, and cools molten wax before it reaches the surface below.
If the candle burns vigorously, the wax flows and mimics molten lava erupting from a volcano, which gives the candlestick its name.
